We collect as little as possible, we tell you what we do with it, and we don't sell it. This page explains the specifics in plain language.

Who this covers
This policy describes how I am Your Geek LLC ("I am Your Geek", "we", "us") handles information collected through this website and in the course of our client work. It also covers work performed under our Aegis AI Advisory name, which is a registered dba of I am Your Geek LLC and not a separate legal entity.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you use the contact form or email us, we receive what you choose to send: your name, email address, organization if you provide one, the topic you select, and the contents of your message. We use this to reply to you and to carry out any work you engage us for.
Information collected automatically
Our web host records standard technical information when a page is requested — IP address, browser type, referring page, and the time of the request. This is used to keep the site running and secure, and to understand which pages people find useful.
Client information
During an engagement we may be given access to systems, documents, or data belonging to you or your organization. We ask only for what the work requires, we use it only to perform that work, and we return or delete it at your request. We'll sign a confidentiality or data-processing agreement whenever you'd like one.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives a request from your browser containing your IP address when a page loads. If we add analytics in future, we'll update this page before doing so and use a tool that does not build advertising profiles.
How we use information
- To respond to your enquiry and provide services you've asked for.
- To prepare proposals, agreements, and invoices.
- To operate, secure, and improve this website.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us operate — for example our web host, email provider, and accounting software — and only to the extent they need it to do their job. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
AI tools and your data
Our advisory work sometimes involves AI tools. We will tell you before any of your confidential or personal information is entered into a third-party AI service, and we'll agree in advance which tools are acceptable for your engagement. Where a client asks us not to use such tools with their material, we don't.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to work are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Records related to an engagement are kept for as long as the relationship lasts, plus the period required for tax and legal purposes.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information in our care, including access controls, encrypted storage and transport, and multi-factor authentication on our accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we won't claim otherwise.
Your choices
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy.
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
- Unsubscribe from any email we send you, at any time.
Email hello@iamyourgeek.com and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy law; we'll honour those requests as the law requires.
Children
This site is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Links to other sites
This site links to other websites we operate, such as the 906 Travel Dashboard, and to third-party sites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy doesn't govern them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be described at the top of the page.
